The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment from the Australian Government that helps you with the cost of childcare. The CCS is income tested and is paid directly to childcare providers to reduce the fees eligible families pay.
CCS is dependent on your family income and the hours of recognised activities you and your partner do. You will find that there is a great amount of information available at Child Care Subsidy – Services AustraliaIf you have more then one child in care, the second child receives a higher subsidy from the government to make it affordable.
We normally find the families are out of pocket between $15 – $60 a day depending on your income.
- Family income up to $83,280 – Subsidy Rate 90%
- Family income more than $83,280 to below $533,280 – Subsidy Rate Decreasing from 90%. The percentage decreases by 1% for every $5,000 of income a family earns
- Family income $533,280 or more – Subsidy Rate 0%
