Parent and Community partnership
We have an OPEN DOOR POLICY.
This means that families are welcome at the centre at ANYTIME.
Family participation sends strong, positive messages to your child that you support them and are part of their early learning environment. There are many levels of parent participation, and we appreciate that time is precious for all families, but we welcome any form of involvement you may be able to offer.
Our team promotes and supports a three-way relationship between parents, educators and the child. Communication is a vital ingredient to the success of this partnership and your input is critical for us to ensure that the program is achieving all that you want for your child.
Some of the ways in which you can be an active participant are:
- attend excursions
- assist with and support fundraising activities
- attend special activities, functions and parent evenings at the centre
- volunteer your time to share in your child’s experiences
- join Parent Council Meetings each term (at the service 4.30pm-5.30pm)
- provide suggestions and ideas for programming in FloorsBooks within each learning space
- give feedback in relation to the care provided through discussions and yearly surveys
- donate craft materials, boxes and other relevant resources
Siblings are always welcome in our centre when children are being dropped off or picked up, however, our educators cannot assume responsibility for them if they are not booked in for care. Therefore, they must be supervised by the parent or family member while in the centre and car park areas.
